Internet Casino Sucker Bets — Part 2

  • Progressive side bets: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker regularly have one of these. You usually put a bet (a dollar is the normal amount) to try to win a bonus jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Although big jackpots like these are particularly alluring, they’re also very hard to win. You might have to get a Royal Flush in order to hit this wager. Also, imagine this- you wager twenty hands and make the side wager every time. That’s twenty dollars you should have used towards the real game bet instead of a sucker bet. Picture what you could have been able to win at a bet with more favorable odds using that 20 dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only 1. This takes the overall house edge from 2.63percent with one zero wheel to a huge fivepercent in American. The individual number bet has just a one in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red wagers instead which have a much smaller house advantage.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you play it, the casino advantage can be a whopping twenty-five percent. No, that is not a typo. Due to the huge amount of numbers you must pick, it is not recommended to play Keno very much. A couple of times for enjoyment, maybe. But do not spend all your cash on it or you’ll immediately find yourself broke.
