United Kingdom Gamblers Make Up a 3rd of All European Internet Gamblers
The web betting market in the UK has increased two fold in 5 years, with in excess of one million punters regularly betting via the net. According to research carried out by the Dept. of Culture, Media and Sport, United Kingdom gamblers make up approximately 1/3rd of the Old World’s approximated total of 3 300 000 net gamblers.
The average cash amount bet by every gambler is estimated at one thousand pounds, with the European industry now valued at £3 500 000 000 each year.
Among the seventy net betting sites in the UK, few are gambling websites advertising card games like poker and chemin de fer. A majority of the world’s 2,000 net betting casinos are located in places with questionable online wagering regulations. Antigua and Costa Rica account for more than one thousand casinos between them.
The Gov’t in the United Kingdom is hoping to introduce practices and a tax system to legalize the working of the web gambling business. With this type of regulatory framework in place, internet betting activities would be monitored and the industry will acquire even greater heights in the near future.
